ABOUT OUR CLUB

Established in 1886, the East Doncaster Cricket Club has always had a strong presence within the Manningham Community. Our cricket home “Zerbes Reserve” is a renowned community recreation reserve located in Doncaster East and features one of the most impressive turf cricket grounds and pavilion in the ECA. We currently field four senior sides and two Veterans teams (Over 50s and Over 60s), with our First XI competing in the ECA Dunstan Shield. Our junior program consists of three Under 10 teams, an Under 12’s team, an Under 18s team and the Woolworths Blast program.

The Club’s success in recent years has included the first XI winning the Dunstan Shield Premiership in 2018/19, 2020/21 and finishing runners-up in 2021/22. Our other teams are regular finalists and our fourth XI produced a flag in 2021/22. In 2019/20, English import Joe Kendall, became the first East Doncaster player to be named the winner of the Dunstan Medal for the Best & Fairest player in the highest turf grade. This was followed by Matthew Vaiano also winning the Dunstan Medal in 2020/21, Peter Dickson in 2021/2022 and Matthew Bremner in 2022/2023.

We warmly welcome all new players across all teams, standards and age groups. East Doncaster CC is a community club with a strong focus on its immediate and wider reaching community. Throughout the season the Club regularly hosts social events for its members, family and friends, and supports a number of local charities. The East Doncaster CC is generously supported by a number of valued sponsors, and has a long history with the Doncaster East Bendigo Bank which has contributed more than $250,000 in sponsorship to the club over the past 15 years.
